Windmill Market is excited to present “Plate and Gather” - the first in a pop-up dinner series featuring emerging chefs and exquisite food. The 100 ticket-only event happens September 28th at 6:30 at the Market.
Plate and Gather’s inaugural chef is Wade Price, Sous Chef at Fairhope’s Ox Kitchen.
The Mobile native grew up savoring food and a variety of flavors in his mother’s kitchen. At the age of just 8, Price moved with his family to China- the youngest member of a team exploring an ancient form of King Fu called Gor Chor.
Years there tasting exotic delicacies like octopus stew and classic Chinese street foods left him with a life-long passion for Asian food. Since then Price has broadened his culinary palate with stints at the Battle House Hotel, NoJa and Von’s Bistro.
Pop-up dinners have become a national foodie phenomenon with one-night only menus and dining experiences featuring up and coming chefs.
Plate and Gather includes a Modern Asian six-course offering with cocktail pairings from Fairhope’s renowned mixologist Kyle Kinder of Tongue and Groove.
